Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Chellie Pingree (D-Maine) released the following statement after the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) determined that 22 Million Americans will lose health care coverage under the Republican health care bill currently before in the U.S. Senate:
In response to yesterday’s vote by House Republicans to repeal health care coverage and consumer protections for millions of Americans, Congresswoman Pingree held a press conference with patient advocates to outline the serious consequences Trumpcare will have for all Mainers.

A few hours after House Republicans revealed their plan to replace the Affordable Care Act, Congresswoman Pingree spoke on the House floor and urged her Republican colleagues not to forget the millions of Americans for whom the Affordable Care Act has been a lifesaver. Pingree read stories of real Mainers who’ve benefitted from the Affordable Care Act.
