FY 2016 Legal Assistance for Victims Grant Program

The Legal Assistance for Victims (LAV) Grant Program is intended to increase the availability of civil and criminal legal assistance needed to effectively aid adult and youth victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking who are seeking relief in legal matters relating to or arising out of that abuse or violence, at minimum or no cost to the victims.

$200 million in loans available for renewable energy and efficiency projects

USDA Rural Development State Director Virginia Manuel has announced that the agency is now accepting applications from rural small businesses and agricultural producers to compete for $200 million in guaranteed loan funds available to finance renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in Maine’s rural communities. Funds are being made available through Rural Development’s Rural Energy for America Program (REAP).
