Congresswoman Chellie Pingree issued the following statement on the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks:

Today I urge everyone to take a moment and pay tribute to the victims and survivors of 9/11, as well as the first responder and men and  women of the armed forces who stepped up to serve our country in the wake of the attacks.  We owe an enormous debt of gratitude to all of those who sacrificed in the fight against terrorism.  And as we continue to stand up to acts of terrorism, we must remained committed to our core values of justice, equality and tolerance as we remain vigilant in the fight against both international and domestic terrorism.
