Congresswoman Chellie Pingree made the following statement on the Bangor Troop Greeters welcoming their millionth troop at the Bangor International Airport today:

“The compassion and dedication of these volunteers is truly inspirational. Day and night, week after week, they work to make sure that the last thing our troops get before leaving home is a warm handshake and the first thing they see when they return is a smiling face. Deep thanks go out to these men and women for always being there to let our troops know we appreciate their service and are praying for their safe return home.”
