This is a really important day in America, when we witness the peaceful transfer of power between one administration to the next. This almost didn't happen. Less than two weeks ago, domestic terrorists stormed our Capitol, attempting to stop the counting of the results of a free and fair election. And today we have a president who doesn't even have the decency to come to the ceremony, as many former presidents are doing to make sure that this is a free and fair transfer of power. But the good news is, we're about to have President Biden and Vice President Harris, and they have an amazing agenda and will get to work today, putting our country back together. He'll be signing executive orders on everything from environmental issues to taking care of the pandemic, racial justice, immigration. It will be a busy day. And Congress will get back to work putting together some funding packages to make sure that we are supporting them in ending this pandemic, making sure that the vaccine is well distributed, reopening our businesses, reopening our schools, and moving forward on so many critical issues that are important to getting our country back together and moving forward. I'm very excited for this day. I'm looking forward to working with a new, competent, experienced administration. I'm looking forward to a better day for the American public.
