Congresswoman Chellie Pingree (D-Maine) mourned the loss of Thomas E. Delahanty II who served as US Attorney for the District of Maine under President Obama.  

“I am terribly saddened by the passing of Thomas E. Delahanty II, whom I respected deeply for his intellect and compassion. I had the honor of nominating him to serve as U.S. Attorney for the District of Maine in 2009, and was grateful for his leadership through the Obama Administration. He is gone too soon, but he left a legacy of justice and service that calls on all of us to live up to his extraordinary example. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time.”
