Congresswoman Chellie Pingree issued the following statement about the death of Richard Rockefeller of Falmouth in a plane crash in Connecticut this morning.

"I am deeply saddened by the death of Richard Rockefeller this morning. Richard was an accomplished doctor, a respected member of the community and someone who was deeply dedicated to improving the world he lived in. His recent work on treatment for veterans who suffer from PTSD is just one example of his commitment to giving back to the community. My thoughts and prayers are with his family on this sad day."
