Congresswoman Pingree Stresses Urgent Passage of Legislation to Protect Free and Open Internet
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has announced that the action it took last December to rollback Net Neutrality rules will go into effect on June 10th unless Congress passes legislation to keep the Internet free and open. Congresswoman Chellie Pingree (D-Maine) is one of 160 co-sponsors of Representative Mike Doyle’s (D-PA) Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution to overturn the FCC's controversial decision on Obama-era Net Neutrality rules. Senator Edward Markey (D-MA) has sponsored a companion bill in the Senate. |
